The 875 Tuff Tilt series contains MEMS technology and is available in uniaxial and biaxial models. ±5°, ±15° and ±30° measuring ranges are available with a 0.05° resolution and 0.5-4.5 V, 4-20mA and digital RS485 outputs.

This serves as a great solution to many industrial and geotechnical applications. It is useful for structural monitoring, angle measurement and control, platform leveling, testing and research, OEM and more.

JMA-100/200/300 Offers Additional Measuring Ranges

The JMA-100/200/300 accelerometer series, a robust and affordable acceleration solution, is now available with ±4 g and ±10 g measuring ranges.  These additional ranges are intended for applications that include wider movement, but do not need as much sensitivity.

The JMA-100/200/300 series contains MEMS technology and is available in single (JMA-100), dual (JMA-200) or tri-axis (JMA-300) configurations. Standard measuring ranges span from the precision of ±0.5 g to a broad ±10 g with a resolution to 0.04 mg. It is also RoHS compliant to satisfy environmental demands.

The additional ranges provide the options to meet more demanding requirements. The JMA serves as a great solution for vehicle testing, railway maintenance and testing, lateral train control, acceleration/deceleration control and aerospace testing.

New Geotechnical Tiltmeter for Shallow Water Environments

The 820 Shallow Water Series is the most recent addition to Jewell Instruments’ electrolytic tiltmeter line for geophysical and geotechnical applications. This is a waterproof tilt solution that provides civil engineers a cost-effective and practical alternative to tiltmeters rated for extreme depths.

The 820 Shallow Water series is rated to 50 meters in depth and uses highly sensitive electrolytic technology to measure in one or two axes with a resolution to 0.0001° and virtually no long-term drift. Standard measuring ranges include ±0.5°, ±3° and ±50° with custom ranges available upon request. Analog, current and digital (RS232 and RS422) output options are also available.

This tiltmeter is intended to monitor structural activity at relatively shallow depths such as bridges, dams, dry docks or any other partially submerged structure.

Digital MEMS Inclinometer with Full Temperature Compensation

Introducing the JDI-100/200 inclinometer series, the latest addition to Jewell Instruments’ group of MEMS sensors. Made in-house, this ruggedized inclinometer includes digital output and full temperature compensation across all measuring ranges which enables the unit to perform to 0.005° accuracy.

The JDI-100/200 series utilizes MEMS technology to measure tilt in either single (JDI-100) or dual-axis (JDI-200). ±1°, ±3°, ±14.5°, ±30° and ±60° are the standard measuring ranges with a 0.0001° digital resolution and RS485 interface output. It is also RoHS compliant to satisfy environmental standards.

With a lightweight aluminum enclosure and an IP67 seal, the JDI can serve a diverse number of OEM and industrial applications. It can be used for industrial automation and control, construction and agricultural equipment, solar tracking, mobile cranes, platform leveling and positioning, mobile radar equipment, bridge monitoring and more.

JMA & JMI Models Now Offer 4-20mA Output

The JMA-100/200/300 accelerometer and JMI-100/200 inclinometer series, the latest additions to Jewell Instruments’ MEMS sensor line, are now available with 4-20mA output (JMA-L, JMI-L). This output option provides ease of use, particularly for applications that rely on long cable runs.

The JMI and JMA series utilize capacitive technology and are available in multiple axis configurations. They are RoHS compliant and include an IP65 seal, 100 g shock and -40 to +85°C operating range.

These robust and lightweight sensors are great solutions for OEM and industrial applications including construction and agricultural equipment, aerospace testing, platform leveling, mobile radar, vehicle testing, railway maintenance and testing and more.

The LCF-2330 inclinometer series now includes a 4-20mA output signal option for applications that require long cable runs. This dual axis tilt sensor is fluid damped to minimize noise and vibration interference while also offering a sharp 1 µradian resolution. An internal temperature sensor is available and dual supply, ±5 Vdc output is an option.

The LCF-2330 is an excellent solution for rugged applications such as radar & antenna leveling, weapons platform leveling, barge and offshore platform control, deviation surveys, 2-axis machine tool leveling, bridge structural monitoring, submersible control feedback, offshore platform stability and manufacturing process equipment for the aerospace industry.

The eDXI-100/200 inclinometer series is a precision single or dual axis tilt sensor that includes Ethernet capability. With an IP67, RJ45 connector, it is easy to connect to computers and other devices to run automation and networking. The Ethernet connection is compatible with any RJ45 cable and additional industrial and low cost connectors will be available. This sensor also includes a 0.001° resolution and is fluid-damped for high shock and vibration resistance.

The eDXI is a great fit for applications such as radar & antenna control, structural monitoring, linear acceleration & deceleration measuring, automatic train control (ATC, ATP) and platform leveling.

New Compact, High Precision Tilt Sensor

LCF-300 Inclinometer Series

Jewell Instruments is pleased to reintroduce the LCF-300 inclinometer series to its force-balanced line. This sensor possesses the same specifications as the LSOX series, but with a smaller enclosure and an IP65 seal. It is available with connector and pin terminal versions as well as ±5 V, 0-5 V and 4-20 mA output options. This sensor is meant for users who need the precision of the LSOX, but do not require the larger and more rugged housing in order to save on space and costs.

The small size and strong performance of the LCF-300 make it a great fit for OEM and industrial applications including high-precision geotech, oil and gas, riser tilt monitoring, railroad MOW equipment, pavement profiling rigs, vehicle wheel alignment and robotics.

The JMA-100/200/300 series contains MEMS technology and is available in single (JMA-100), dual (JMA-200) or tri-axis (JMA-300) configurations. It includes ±0.5, ±1 and ±1.5 g measuring ranges and a resolution as small as 0.04 mg. It is also RoHS compliant to satisfy environmental demands.
